Ingredients

1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1 1/4 cup Flour
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Confectioner’s Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Butter, Melted
2 ea Eggs, Beaten
2 cups Dates, Chopped
1/2 cup Walnuts, Chopped
1 tbsp Hot Water

Method of Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Beat the eggs, salt, sugar, baking powder, butter and water together.
3. Add the walnuts and dates.
4. Slowly mix in the flour.
5. Grease an 8×11 ½ inch baking pan and pour the mixture in.
6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
7. Allow to cool and then cut into squares.
8. Roll in confectioner’s sugar.
